When we were contacted by ‘Home and Away’ actress ‘Christie Hayes’ and asked if we would create a wedding dress for her intimate elopement, we were over the moon! Such a bubbly, lovely lady she was gushing with excitement during her fittings, counting down the days before she married the man of her dreams. Christie wanted to wear something elegant and timeless with a stylish edge so the combination of our Frances and Cassandra designs came together and we created the ‘Christie’ gown.
This beautiful, ‘Off the shoulder’ bridal gown is created in the most luxurious Italian textured silk that gives fabulous structure but is light as a feather to wear. Due to our gowns being created in our Brisbane studio our brides love being able to mix and match within our collection to create their dream wedding dress.
Christie always planned to marry her soul mate ‘Justin Coombes-Pearce’ in Paris but the worldwide pandemic forced them to postpone their original plans, they couldn’t wait any longer and decided to elope and found the fabulous ‘Deux Belettes’ in Austinville, NSW. It is your very own French Chateaux right here in Australia, such a magical venue with a very European feel. Surrounded by candlelight as the sun was setting they said their vows and thanks to technology today were able to live steam it to friends and family who were not able to attend.
